English Immersion Programme
Trilingual Programme – English, Mandarin, Spanish
Baby Bumblebees (6 – 11months old)
Even babies enjoy and thrive with tumbling, feeling, interacting, hearing, listening and smelling. Our activities like Tummy Time, Tempo time and crawling time will be scheduled within the Mount Kelly bespoke learning spaces. Interaction, stimulation and activity are crucial during this formative time in your child’s development.
Toddling Hedgehogs (12 – 18months old)
Play and Laughter is an integral part of all our programs at Mount Kelly Playgroups
Imaginative play, painting, constructing with playdough, sandpit exploring, water play and story time make the Toddling Kelly program full of action and skill development always within an atmosphere of nurturing confidence, social skills, listening skills and fun. Allowing children to make choices from a very early age encourages autonomy, learning and self-control. Control leads to good self-esteem and internal confidence. Children who do not have the opportunities to build autonomy are more likely to remain dependent on adults or be overly influenced by peers. So what will it be today?
Pre – Twos Badgers (19 – 24months old)
Play is children’s work. Children choose the activity that appeals to them and get to work. At Mount Kelly Playgroup we offer an extensive range of exciting opportunities for sensory play and discovery. Through making choices and taking responsibility for their own learning children learn through interacting with people, place and their experience. We have scheduled learning activities that focus as much on physical development as social and intellectual. In fact these all complement each other. A Pre Two can really begin to explore building, climbing, rolling, riding sharing, listening, dancing and art making.
Pre – Threes Red Deer (25 – 36months old)
Challenging, interesting and engaging opportunities are expertly planned and executed at Mount Kelly Playgroup so that children can initiate, direct and control their own learning experiences. Sometimes children do not make good choices and this becomes a valuable formative opportunity to learn about safe, positive behaviours. This lays the foundation for understanding what is fair and respectful. Confidence and strong positive relationships are built when children internalise their choices and their opinion is valued. Pre Threes are exposed regularly to books, listening, music, visual art, dance and manipulative play. Their choices expand as does their understanding of the world around them.
Pre-Nursery (25 – 36months old)
Developing independence, choice and collaboration are the main aims of our unaccompanied Pre-Nursery classes. This independent learning environment provides your child with early exposure to a diverse range of social situations, helping them develop crucial interpersonal skills. The ideal preparation for entry into our Nursery programme at the Mount Kelly International Preschool!
